On June 23, Shandong Heavy Industry Group and China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. (CIMC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Jinan. Wang Zhijian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, held talks with Gao Xiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of CIMC, and witnessed the signing of the agreement.

Wang Zhijian welcomed the CIMC delegation. He said CIMC is a world-leading supplier of logistics and energy equipment whose strengths and strategic priorities closely align with those of Shandong Heavy Industry in industrial chain development, global expansion and green transformation. Through years of cooperation, the two sides have built strategic mutual trust and achieved deep integration. Shandong Heavy Industry is now accelerating four strategic transformations—green, global, digital and intelligent, and ecosystem-oriented—and stepping up its drive to build a world-class multinational high-end equipment group. He expressed the hope that the two sides would fully leverage their respective industrial strengths, deepen value-chain collaboration and innovation, and expand cooperation in commercial vehicles, marine power, clean energy and smart logistics. Together, they would expand in global markets and contribute to the high-quality development of the equipment manufacturing industry.
Gao Xiang gave an overview of CIMC's development. He said Shandong Heavy Industry and CIMC are both leaders in China's high-end equipment manufacturing industry, with strong industrial foundations and extensive global operations, and that the two companies are highly complementary and well positioned for synergy. CIMC attaches great importance to its strategic cooperation with Shandong Heavy Industry and will fully leverage its core strengths in road transport vehicles, clean energy equipment, offshore engineering equipment and smart logistics to pursue comprehensive, in-depth and practical cooperation. He expressed confidence that by combining their complementary strengths and sharing resources, the two sides would achieve more in green and low-carbon transformation and global development, and together move China's equipment manufacturing industry further up the global value chain.

Hu Haihua, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Li Yinhui, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of CIMC, signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides. Under the agreement, the two sides will deepen cooperation in high-end equipment, clean energy, smart logistics, international markets and new strategic businesses to achieve mutual benefit and shared success.
